I just realized that the last few posts have featured Quinn. What a lucky boy to get so many outfits!! Well here he is again because he is the ONLY person in my family who I made an outfit for. Millie kept going back and forth with what she wanted to be and they were all outfits we already had (YESSSS!!!! Lazy mom for the win!!) I also think I deserve an award for being one of the 4 moms this Halloween who doesn’t have a daughter dressed up as Anna or Elsa, woohoo!
ANYways, back to Quinn’s hilarious outfit. Jake and I decided a long time ago that he would be an old timey strong man. I finally sewed it yesterday. haha! It seriously took NO time. Gotta love that fast and dirty Halloween sewing!! No hems!! I drafted out this thing, cut and sewed it in under 30 minutes. I think the thing that took the longest was tucking the serger threads in so they wouldn’t unravel.
This morning, I took two styrofoam balls, stuck them onto a black pencil and spray painted them black. I also spray painted my hands and part of one of my rings in the process… then dripped black spray paint on my garage floor.. then somehow Quinn stepped in some and left little black foot prints all over the kitchen…WHOOPS! Thankfully I got it off my kitchen floor and mostly off my hands… No comment on the other surfaces…
Sorry about the extra eyeliner on his face, he somehow found it and opened it while I was getting ready to take the pictures and I couldn’t wipe it off, lol.. But there he is! My sweet little strong man!! The only problem is that today, for the first time this year, a crazy cold front blew in and it will be too cold for Quinny to wear so little!!! This is totally reminding me of my childhood in New Jersey where I had awesome costumes but then I had to cover them up with a coat to go trick or treating :( I might just do some insane last minute skin tone shirt sewing this afternoon. That would be hilarious and probably necessary!
I hope everyone has a fantastic Halloween!!!
