Hooray for Progress!

I finished the top to my tree skirt today!! My little helper slept a CHUNK this afternoon so I was able to get it completed!

I LOVE it!!

The colors are so subtle, hopefully it can stand the test of time and be the skirt we use for years to come!

I’m not really sure how I’m going to quilt it yet, if I was awesome I’d free motion the whole thing into a giant snowflake. But that would take crazy amounts of time and I’m no where near good enough for that!

Anyone have any ideas? Should I try sewing a design or should I keep it simple and follow the pattern? I’m hoping to find time for basting tomorrow, wish me luck!

  1. Looks great! I’m at the same point with mine (and similar look with chevrons) and am not going to try to quilt it until after the holidays, because it’s too important to rush. I think I’m going to quilt 1/4″ off each seam line. It was fun to make, wasn’t it?

I love comments!
