I Want to Strangle my Cats!

So I’ve started on a new quilt (this one I’m keeping for myself!), an isosceles triangle quilt with Briar Rose fabric. I’m pretty excited about this, I have been eying the fabric forever and actually had a good time cutting out the triangles, which is weird because usually cutting is my least favorite part of the quilt process. I guess now that I’m on my fourth, I’m finding love for all parts! So first I found it mildly irritating with a dash of cute when Ellie decided to “help” me sort out the pieces where I wanted them to lay.

Everything was going smoothly, I got her to stay away for a while, had everything pretty much where I wanted it to go, trying to be totally random about it with no like patterns touching. Started sewing things together. Then stupid me sewed two like patterns together.

I thought about ripping the seams vs. letting it stay that way. I decided to rip the seams. But before that, I had to put Quinn down for his nap. When I got back to my sewing room, already a little frustrated at my unpicking task, I found my two turds WRESTLING on my laid out pieces!!

Those jerks!!!! What a mess!

Now I have to go back through the process of sorting AND fix that part :(

Little turds!

    1. Haha yeah it is a good thing cats are cute so they can get away with it!
Thanks I’m really excited! I’ve really been drawn to the triangles and I’m going a bit unconventional which is fun :D hopefully the family will let me get a good bit of sewing time in tomorrow:)

    1. Sarah, yes!!! I do see other people having one and I have wondered about it without really looking into it, I need to make one!! Especially since Quinn is crawling now and the floor is no longer safe from anyone! Thanks for the link!

  1. LOL!!! I totally laughed out loud when I read this because I can totally relate. My female cat (who was my first baby RIP) used to walk smack dab into the middle of my cutting jobs and proceed to roll around and lay down on what ever I was working on! She was such a diva. My male kitty (he too has passed on after 15 years) Was such a good boy and would tip toe around my work. I love and miss both of my cats so much. Thank you for sharing this. It put a smile on my face because it brought back memories for me.
I miss having a furry little booger around the house.

    1. Thank you! I’m really excited about it :) Lucky girl! Only one of my cats usually bothers my sewing stuff, but I’m thinking she lured the other one into a wrestling match in that spot!
